Virtually, no other place in the region holds such a rich record offering clues to how prehistoric Indians fed, clothed and protected themselves.

Recommended Activities Park Rangers give guided tours of the cave shelter. Call ahead for cultural education programming designed for, but not limited to school and scouting groups. One mile hiking trail,one half mile nature trail, a selection of videos, Prehistoric tools and weapons demonstrations including flintknapping (making of arrowheads), atlatl use (ranger will demonstrate the proper way to throw a spear with an atlatl), and fire building as the prehistoric Indians did in past.
