Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site
Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site consists of 150 acres including the home, gardens and studios of Augustus Saint-Gaudens (1848-1907), one of America's foremost sculptors. This was his summer residence from 1885-1897, and his permanent home from 1900 until his death in 1907. There are two hiking trails that explore the park's natural areas.

Temperatures range from 50 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer, and -10 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter. Sturdy footwear should be worn on the hiking trails.

Recommended Activities An excellent orientation to the site is the video presentation "Augustus Saint-Gaudens: An American Original" (28 minutes). Scheduled tours of Saint-Gaudens' home, "Aspet", are conducted throughout the day. Tour size is limited and individuals must sign-up for house tours at the entrance kiosk. Walking tours of the site are conducted most afternoons and last approximately one hour. A self-paced audio tour is also available for rental.
